Team TTO opened their Pan American Games account with a low-key day as all four track cyclists competed in the Team Sprint (Jude Codrington, Njisane Phillip & Justin Roberts) and the Omnium (Varun Maharajh).

The Trio of "J's" clocked a time of 45.381 seconds in the qualifying round to finish 5th even though they bettered their time at the same venue in January by almost a second. The top four (4) countries however advanced to the medal rounds, meaning T&T would have to be contented with 5th. Varun Maharajh had a tough day in the saddle as well, after finishing 9th in the Scratch, 8th in the 4km Individual Pursuit and 5th in Elimination of the first 3 events of the Omnium. Maharajh sits in 8th place overall after 3 events

Tomorrow, T&T looks to turn things around with Phillip and Roberts competing in the Sprint and Maharajh competing in the final 3 events of the Omnium.

Results:
Team Sprint Results
Omnium I - Scratch Race
Omnium II - Individual Pursuit
Omnium III - Elimination
Omnium Overall Standings - after 3 events
