Triple Junior Pan American Cycling medalist and National Record Holder, Nicholas Paul was named as the top Junior Sportsman in Trinidad & Tobago for the year 2016 by the Trinidad & Tobago Olympic Committee (TTOC) on Thursday night. At the TTOC’s annual gala awards ceremony at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, which also commemorated the organisation’s 70th anniversary, Paul topped all Junior Sportsmen for the year after a breathtaking run at the Junior Pan Ams hosted right here in T&T in August.

Following his Indepdence Day magic, Paul went on to set three new personal bests in the Flying 200m while training at the World Cycling Centre in Switzerland, one which saw him eclipse the National Junior Record.

Khalifa St. Fort repeated as Junior Sportswoman of the Year while favourites coming into the night, Michelle Lee Ahye (Athletics) and Keshorn Walcott (Athletics) were named as Sportswoman and Sportsman of the Year.
